About Our Events

We offer many events throughout the year such as our AKC Sanctioned Breed, Obedience and Rally Match. Plans are underway for our Annual Spring Match to take place in early May. Last year we were happy to see so many puppies and beginner handlers turn out to try their hand and paws at showing.

We will also be offering TDI (Therapy Dog International) and CGC (Canine Good Citizen) testing at this event. Door prizes, AKC Educational Table, food and raffles round out the day.

The club is also gearing up for our Summer Trials scheduled for Saturday, August 27th and Sunday, August 28th to be held at Brookwood Pet Resort in Canterbury. Plans for both the Match and summer trials are PENDING AKC approval.

September finds us holding our Responsible Dog Ownership Day. We have just celebrated our 4th RDO Day in  2010. Some of the past activities included a Health Clinic with Micro Chipping, Rabies and Health Checks, several Meet the Breeds Booths, Concessions, Raffles, Demo CGC & TDI Testing, a musical dog walk, scavenger hunt and the very popular "Poop Bag Toss"

All of these events are possible thanks to the efforts of many dedicated and talented club members and volunteers.
